Emphasize the role that architecture plays into our emotions. The spaces within the home will reflect the emotional state of the residents who live in it. Making them aware of their truest emotional selves and the impact that their feelings have on the environment around them

SOCIAL RELEVANCE

Currently, there have been many mental Health implications in todays technological culture. Our new reliance on our digital devices are making us lose the ability to take care of ourselves in an organic way. Consciousness is being spread due to several interactions taking place simultaneously through digital platforms.

EMPATHETIC TECHNOLOGY

We all expect artificial intelligence to be prominent in the future, however, emotional intelligence will also play a huge role in our future society. This emotional intelligent tech can also be called empathetic technology; which aims to learn more about the inner self of a person and to better understand human emotion.

Thermal imaging cameras measure the heat distribution in the body. Heat maps reveal your emotional state in real timeInformation gathered from the sensors will generate a shift in spatial moods through lighting, color, scent, etc.

CONVERSION

The data collected by the thermal imagining cameras will convert into a unique spatial experience that is comprised of a change in lighting, color, aroma and spatial relations

SPATIAL PROGRAMMING

The rooms of the home have been renamed to fit the performative characteristics within them. The order in which you flow through the space transitions you from the most public spaces of the home to the most private.

FIRST FLOOR

SPATIAL FLOW

The form language is designed to differentiate itself from past case study homes that have a more rectilinear presence. Sana is meant to feel more natural, soft and have an organic flow. In my research, i found that spaces with 90 degree turns disrupt the natural flow of human circulation. Reducing the angle of the turn actually helps residents maintain better balance, use less muscle and increase stability when walking through a space. The plan and circulation of the SANA home will work in that favor.
