PETANQUE BAR
CONCEPT
A London-based pétanque bar concept that combines social gaming, dining, and drinking in a brutalist-modern, human-centric design fostering connection and making pétanque the centerpiece of a shared, sociable experience.
CIRCLE 13
LONDON PETANQUE BAR
Circle 13 is a petanque bar concept located in London, focused on bringing people together and providing a fun, social atmosphere. This petanque bar reimagines brutalist design with a warm, inviting twist to celebrate and popularize the niche sport of pétanque. Vaulted concrete arches dominate the space, their sweeping form inspired by the arc of a pétanque ball in motion. The court itself is the heart of the space, seamlessly integrated to draw attention and encourage participation. Every detail reflects the sport’s essence: from the spherical light fixtures to the rounded forms of the tables and seating, all echoing the geometry of pétanque balls.
The open layout and sculptural focal wall create a dynamic atmosphere that engages both players and spectators, blending sport and community.By balancing raw materiality with warmth and functionality, the design invites curiosity and encourages guests to embrace pétanque’s sociable and leisurely spirit, turning the space into both a playground and a cultural hub.
